Nope - you are missing the point. The ADC used to record is a constant in the process. We are looking at the difference that is happening in the DAC whose output we are recording, having altered some variable that might affect how well the DAC does its job of turning the perfect bitstream into music. aaaargh! -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
