power sag is an actual real issue on terrible, underspecified power
supplies - amplifying bass can suck a lot of power and if the power
supply can't push enough current (more of a problem for energy-wasteful
class A rigs) they'll clip/sag on some content at loud levels.

but most decent rigs - anything mid-range or above, really - are going
to handle this sort of thing fine most of the time unless you're
totally cranking out massive amounts of sub.

i doubt most people would hear a difference, really, even if it were
measurable.
