HiFiMan HM-801 was the new audiophile player of choice as of last summer, which includes both a nice DAC and a headphone amp. I would have jumped on that, except for the fact that it doesn't come with any memory at all, and relies on chips of 32GB max.

They're going to start with 64GB and supposedly could potentially go to 2TB, who knows when.
