Once again audiophiles are getting hit in their wallet. HDTracks announced this week that high resolution downloads of the remastered Abkco Rolling Stones recordings are now available. Prices: $19.98 for 24bit/88.2kHz and $29.98 for 24bit/176kHz with a 10% discount being offered. Do the math $19.98 minus $2.00 discount comes to $17.98, which is the price HDTracks currently charges for their 24bit/88.2kHz downloads. Once the 10% discount expires HDTracks will have, in effect, raised their prices by $2.00 Ouch!
And this is 40+ year old records which have released countless times over the years.
