Oak gives a tighter bass response, but with a noticable fall-off for the midrange and highs. A colleague of mine swears by Venezuelan saguaro wood, but since Hugo Chavez imposed a ban on its export, it has become as rare as a Westphalian with a sense of humour. Still, keep up the good work!
