Ralphpnj, What I mean is, I sit to the side of the so-called sweet spot. I listen to music and close my eyes. The singer's voice may not come from exactly between the speakers but still it's somewhere between them and I can't tell the location of the speakers from the sound.
As I indicated, some poorer recordings will 'stick to the speakers' no matter what.
