I know a guy who built one, and I would lay money that his build is
better than most. :)  I didn't want to seem like I was bragging, but I
was talking about an Arcam rDac, an Emotiva XDA-1, an a Music Fidleity
M1A DAC I own, as well as a borrowed Rega Dac, Bryston, Benchmark, and
a few others in the same class. 

I'm still trying to pick a DAC to go with the Touch that gives me the
best sound. I generally prefer Async USB over S/PDIF, but that isn't an
option with the Touch. Perhaps a transporter would be an option, but
knowing they put the dang things on sale, I am reluctant to pay the
current asking price.
