I know one can find linear PSU kits from Velleman in electronic shops here in Belgium for a budget price but not sure they are really "audiophile". Better would be to build a PSU with sealed liquid acid battery, booster caps and a DC regulator like the one from Teddy Pardo. At the end it would not be cheaper than a BOTW but I would expect better results. I did not find yet an easy how-to for DIY battery PSU though.
