Is the coax cable drawn in conduits ? "pipes" in the walls if so just pull out the coax while pulling in some cat5e or cat6 in the pipes ?
or use that "drawstring" device that electricians use (what is the English name for it ). You then install new wall plates with outlets , the tools for this are not expensive.
