Good ideas, they are even close to corners, I would never be this close
to side Walls but acoustic panels on the side Walls may help and a
degree of toe in note that not all speakers have their best response
exactly on axis, toe in would also help to delay some hf side
reflections .

But this close and with many modern speakers wide dispersion would
panels on the not have to be fairly large to cover a wide area .

How do the sound without the grille/cloth frame very few speakers
sounds good with it ? It's a cosmetic afterthought it usually muddle
the sound .
