How i did read lately this regen thing is said to better the sound of all kind of DACs. If i was customer of a serious DAC vendor that is said to work better with the device i would ask their customer support why the USB is broken and why it needs a fix. The reviews indirectly discredit the work of many. Anyone reported a difference in a DAC 2? I wonder if some guys at Benchmark can come up with some proof their hardware needs no regen.
