[Aus-soaring] Canopy material

We are having a speaker in a few weeks at one of our pilot's nights, a radiation oncology dr who treats (amongst other things) skin cancers. The theme of the discussion is, not surprisingly, the risks we run because of our exposure to the sun.   She has asked me what our canopies are made of, and of course all I know is "perspex".
