We are having a speaker in a few weeks at one of our pilot's nights, a radiation oncology dr who treats (amongst other things) skin cancers. The theme of the discussion is, not surprisingly, the risks we run because of our exposure to the sun.

 

She has asked me what our canopies are made of, and of course all I know is "perspex". But if I can get a more definitive description, then she is able to find out from the biomedical people a bit more info about the UV transmission properties of the material.

 

So my question - can anyone tell me what the actual material is...
