For gliding content -

- when you want to fit night flying lighting to your instrument panel, you will want low light levels (probably colour filtered) which is available from LEDs at 0.1w energy demand.

- if you want bright lights for clearance lights, strobes, or to illuminate the flying kangaroo on the tail
indicative of similar (ie not identical but within cooee lumen, and differing colour, intensitry, spread) this chart -

incandescent        75W
fluorescent batten (T5 or T8)    20W
PLC cranked fluorescent    18W
halogen dichroic            35W
superbright LED            5W

for those still on board on global warming
you can judge my stance on climate change
- drive hybrid car
- quarter century is solar powered home/office
- work, teach sustainable development in its widest possible definition
