If you review the message "An ASF Wakeup Call For All", you'll find my
initial inquiry, and Greg Stein's response. His response indicates that
those of us who get to see only the public side of the story are unaware of
the reasons behind their action. Sam Ruby's reply to Peter reinforces this
belief.

None of us do. The only person who might, and certainly the only person
with the right to divulge it, is Peter. What I think ought to be done now
is to help Peter feel comfortable and invited on the project. Whatever
other issues might exist are between Peter and the ASF Board.
