Go thru all the field values in the invent table and see if you would like to share them across companies.
For e.g.
say you have companies x,y,z
item A is produced in company x but sold in x as well as y and Z. Typically you would want to keep minimum quantity for the item A at a higher level in company x.
If you encounter these scenarios, you will have to share item table across companies without making it virtual i.e. do it by code.
If you search previous discussions on this yahoo group as well as development-axapta you will find a lot of contributions on how to achieve this.
One might get tempted to write a simple piece of code duplicating records across companies but if you think it through then you will realise that a lot of efforts are required. If you dont find any references in the past message then post an email on this forum and I will give a detailed description.
