This message bounced to axis-dev@ so I'm forwarding it to Dims and
wanted to make sure to include everyone. My apologies ahead of time as
this message could most definitely be construed as closed, offline
discussion about an Apache project. I guess I'll take my chances.

The only people I know if attempting JAXB2 are the Castor XML guys.
I know they were on the JAXB2 E.G. and have a lot of ideas in that
spec, but I don't know what kind of gap there is between what they
have and what they need.
Bruce, Keith, any input?
Being that I'm not on the axis-dev@ list, this will probably bounce,
but I'll give a whirl to see if someone will mod me through.
We were in the process of getting 1.0 out the door and then migrating
from CVS to SVN and just as we got it all tidied up and ready for a
massive refactoring to begin work toward supporting JAXB 2, along
comes the server outage at the Codehaus. The SVN repo just became
available again yesterday and we're actually only missing a single
revision, thanks to the hard work of the Codehaus crew.
That being the case, Keith and I need to sync up again to figure out
where we are and where we need to go. How about we do that and get
back to you guys in a week or two? Keith, are you in a spot where you
can commit to helping get a plan together in that timeframe?
