Portuguese marriages in New Bedford were earlier at St.John.s in the Southend 
and then later at Immaculate Conception in the northend. They would have any 
records that were performed there. Baptism,Marriage and Death.

I thought there was a church in NB where they kept a listing of events such as 
marriage, baptism. You wouldn't necessarily get the marriage certificate, but 
my memory tells me, you would get some information about it. Anyone?
