Portuguese marriages in New Bedford were earlier at St.John.s in the Southend and then later at Immaculate Conception in the northend. They would have any records that were performed there. I thought there was a church in NB where they kept a listing of events such as marriage, baptism. You wouldn't necessarily get the marriage certificate, but my memory tells me, you would get some information about it. Anyone?
