Paul,

Knowing someone was from somewhere on Sao Miguel (70 or so churches,
although a few less churches in the 1770s) is like knowing someone is from
the United States and you don't know which of the 50 states to look in. And
you can't use Ancestry to search either, as the CCA isn't set up like
Ancestry.
