Hi Terri, What makes you assume that this exposta is the Maria de Jesus you are looking for? My guess is, either you found diferent Marias, or her death records that she was 53 years old, «pouco mais ou menos», meaning she could be older than 53.
Please post the marriage and death record as Cheri asked, so we can take better conclusions to help you.
