I am interested in seeing what others do to move their backup data to other media for rotational backups.
Currently I use a series of hotswappable SATA drives and rsync to
transfer the contents of /var/lib/backuppc to the removable disk. Is
there a better solution?
My current backup scheme is similar to the grandfather/father/son tape
rotation where BackupPC is doing the son backups and my cron script
runs the Grandfather/Father backups. I manually swap the disk weekly
and adjust the various monthly/quarterly offsite pools.
Your thoughts?
