Also note that with backuppc it is generally better to run fulls more
frequently, since unlike other backup programs they don't much
additional space.   And, unless your timing requirements are extremely
tight it is better to let the server do the scheduling to keep the
load even over the backup window.  Generally with the default
approximate 24hr/1week timings, if you force a full run at the time
you want it, they will continue at approximately that time on the same
day of the week from then on.
