Just to give closure to my initial inquiry . . we talked with our
Contex guy and asked him to look into negotiating an amendment to the
lease to add a Pugh clause which he was glad to do . . . and we heard
back . . EOG acquired an interest in our lease but Ritter still holds
the lease . . so no change can be made since it is still Ritter's
lease . . but we are ok with this . . we'll hope some of the other
mineral owners in these sections were smarter than us and had Pugh
clauses that will keep things moving . . and be grateful for the
contract falling into EOG's scope. We're having a beautiful day here
- sunshine and 60 degrees . .and I need to go give a fjord horse a
bath for our weekend heritage festival . . so thanks for all your
feedback as always!
