Siangi ikan gurami, buang isi perut dan sisiknya. Sayat membujur salah satu sisi badannya. Bentangkan hingga sayatan dagingnya terbuka lebar. Kerat-kerat sisi badan lainnya. Perciki air jeruk nipis. Diamkan selama 30 menit. ? Campur margarin, minyak, dan bumbu halus hingga rata. ? Olesi kedua sisi badan ikan dengan bumbu hingga rata. ? Bakar di atas bara api arang hingga ke dua sisinya matang, sambil olesi dengan bumbu hingga meresap. Angkat. ? Perciki air jeruk limau. Sajikan dengan lalap sayuran.
