hi i have a query kaushik told me that you hace done work on OTF Fonts. Can I ask what is the yukhtakshar problem is. UNicode defines it quiet well now all that is required is to render it if we have the proper fonts. I am no expert on this. is'nt his how things work. unicode defines the charecter set and then fonts are used to render it. What I want to know is what exactly is the problem. I wonder if there are yukhtakshar charecters in the font can't we use them. and another thing is what other problems are there in rendering bangla.
I'll post a detail plan on what we intend to do. and ritwikda will hopefully put it up in the web page. A release plan sort of thing. butthat is still secoundary. our primary concers are how to make this work. gollum PS. Oh can I call you Gimli the dwarf.
