i'm well aware that a type3 page does not take longer to set up for an experienced developer. that was a joke. as far as i can recall the cms showdown was open to all cms. there is just not a big scene in bangkok from what i can tell, else someone would have participated.
i think the objective was to see what can be achieved in one night both for template and functionality. and to release a new cc template for all participating systems. from what i know it was not the main objective to have a single winner. more like a showcase, not a contest. i'm pretty sure people will welcome to see how typo3 can do the same, and the typo3 community can get a new template.
