Our first organizer's meeting for Barcamp Bangkok 4 will be held on Tuesday, April 20th at 7:00pm at Waweee Coffee on Soi Aree 2, near the Aree BTS station. I figure Aree is far enough from the mayhem that there will be no problems holding a meeting there.
Please tweet this / spread the word so we get as much input from as many people as we can. Let's try to get new people on board! Luckily, we have used Sripatum before, so we don't have as much planning to do, we know what we need to do already; it's just a matter of execution. Meeting Agenda: 1) Do we postpone the event? We should at least consider whether or not to hold the event given the current social unrest--or have a contingency plan if events gets drastically worse. 2) We need volunteer directors to manage sub-projects, such as: - Registration / Wifi / T-shirt handouts - Venue Liason (talk to Sripatum to arrange what we need). - Technical Liason (Work with Sripatum to make sure that wifi is set- up, tested & is working in all areas, projectors work, etc.) - Printing T-Shirts & singage - Website updates (Jan & John?) - Saturday evening party coordinator - Catering (meals, snacks & water) - Volunteer coordinator (for general volunteers the day of event; room monitors, people to hand out T-shirts, etc.) - Voting & Agenda Setting - PR & Media Realtions - Sponsorships (John?) - Accounting - MC for Opening 3) Ideas on what to do to improve the experience for participants 4) Pre-Barcamp promotions on how to do a good presentation and why it's good to participate. 5) Budget 6) Any other topics??
