I've found some more clues in the release message for 2.5.0, and I'm currently reading this: <http://base.thep.lu.se/chrome/site/trunk/html/developerdoc/webservices/webservices.html> The release message explained that the webservices in 2.5.0 are incompatible with the earlier prototype. I still think it would be best if the above script were either made compatible with 2.5.0 or removed altogether from the page.
