When I started using bbdb, I quickly noticed two important missing
      things (IMO) :

1- BBDB stores its base in one huge file (mine has 178 entries but I
suppose some people must have even bigger .bbdb's)
2- BBDB doesn't handle group aliases

The reason for 1 not being present is most likely due to the fact
that it would require a major rewrite, and I can easily understand
that Jamie has more important things to do for the moment.
Nevertheless, being able to store records in appropriate files would
      be handy.

The reason for point #2 is a bit more unclear. It requires you to
keep up to date two unrelated files : .bbdb and .mailrc. I would
really like any changes on the .bbdb file to be reflected in the
.mailrc (the other way around is not very important).

Why can't BBDB handle group aliases?

Cedric

[I really hope I didn't miss the group alias feature in BBDB's doc :-)]
