Hi Daniel,
you could try installing the latest experimental XEmacs BBDB package
with
Options -> Manage Packages -> Add Download Site -> Pre-Releases
Options -> Manage Packages -> Update Package Index
Options -> Manage Packages -> List & Install
I have upgraded and it seems to work fine.
It says it's
bbdb-version
"2.32"
