The tar file only has .el files. So, I presume this is the lisp directory of BBDB. I made a copy of the bbdb-2.35 as bbdb-3.01, untarred this tarball inside the lisp directory, and did configure and make as specified in the original INSTALL file. I still got stuck doing the build (trace below). But, at least, I am a bit further along than I was last time. maruti[bbdb-3.01]: make cd lisp; make bbdb make[1]: Entering directory `/cygdrive/d/gnu/packages/bbdb-3.01/lisp' Wrote d:/gnu/packages/bbdb-3.01/lisp/bbdb.elc Wrote d:/gnu/packages/bbdb-3.01/lisp/bbdb-com.elc Symbol's value as variable is void: \ make[1]: *** [bbdb-hooks.elc] Error 127 make[1]: Leaving directory `/cygdrive/d/gnu/packages/bbdb-3.01/lisp' make: *** [bbdb] Error 2 Cheers, Uday ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by Make an app they can't live without Enter the BlackBerry Developer Challenge http://p.sf.net/sfu/RIM-dev2dev _______________________________________________ bbdb-info@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bbdb-info BBDB Home Page: http://bbdb.sourceforge.net/
