Hello Roland, I pulled the latest version from Savannah. And it is working like a charm!
>> 1) The completion format for certain records is strange (with or >> without cycling) I was wondering why, upon completion, in some cases people's name appeared before the email and sometime not. I found the culprit, since some variables names are different now, I had to set `bbdb-mail-allow-redundancy` to t to always display the names. >> 2) If there is an accent such as é, è in the name, then it get quoted. >> >> ,---- >> | Rem<M-TAB> -> "Rémi Buddy" <r...@something> >> `---- > Again, I am not sure here. Well, some characters in the name trigger the appearance of quotes. But I can live with it, as it is merely cosmetic. No real issue. >> It would be great that bbdb ask or auto-add a new record only when >> SENDING an email. I usually disable the bbdb-add-mail variable. For example if I go through archived mails I don't want my friends obsolete addresses to be added, neither in the case of mailing-lists. Otherwise, the bbdb file soon become a mess. I could set bbdb-add-mail to query, but again, not very convenient and too intrusive. Currently, I add new entries "by hand". It is fine but automatically adding peoples whom I correspond with would be even better. -- Bruno ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Start uncovering the many advantages of virtual appliances and start using them to simplify application deployment and accelerate your shift to cloud computing. http://p.sf.net/sfu/novell-sfdev2dev _______________________________________________ bbdb-info@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bbdb-info BBDB Home Page: http://bbdb.sourceforge.net/
