As an existing user, I don't mind that the cost for me to "upgrade" is
the same cost as for everyone else.

However, what I *do* find really strange/amusing/whatever is making
existing users jump through a hoop by having to provide our serial
number!

If I "upgrade" and provide a serial number, it's US$40.
If I buy from scratch, it's US$40.

Why add an extra hoop to jump through for loyal users willing to
"upgrade" (so to speak) ?!?  Barebones should disable this check from
now until October when the intro pricing stops...
