I disagree with the primary axiom he starts with. To my work, and to the
operations I want to do on others's VCS repositories, files *do* matter.
So I don't follow Linus through most of the rest of that message.

What is that meant to be an example of? I see only a diff which could
easily be produced by any of the current major VCSen.
