Heh, for me darcs is without competition and I can stand
bzr. Fortunately there is bzr-{git,hg,svn} set of plugins.

Why not using nicely named patches, like the method described in
http://wiki.darcs.net/BestPractices#what-is-the-best-way-to-name-patches
Moreover, darcs has rich set of parameters to examine repos

Anyway, no use to discuss about one's preferences...

Hmm, what's wrong with e.g.
darcs record [email protected] ...
or even shorter:
darcs record -A [email protected] ...
to temporarily change defaults?
