Hello: I have heard that PERL is more valuable than learning C++ in terms of IT, etc. What is your view of the matter. Perl is a great programming tool for small non-cpu intensive applications, and great for rapid development of large processes as a prototype. More times than not perl is also quite adequate for larger applications. However if you are presenting yourself to an IT team for consideration it best suites you to have c++ as a tool in you toolbelt. Some very cpu intensive processes are not really practical in perl and require a low level language such as c++. Also real-time processes such as device drivers and low-level system work are best left to c++ or even assembly. Remember perl is not written in perl but C++. If your seriously considering a career in IT don't limit yourself. Good luck Steve -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
