There are many things to consider in a study such as this. Before we alarm
everybody about the horrors of osteosarcoma in neutered males lets consider
the fact that this cancer is prevalent in Rotties and that one has to take
into consideration the pedigrees of all the dogs in the study. How were
they related, were they a totally diverse group, what was the relationship
between the affecteds and non-affecteds and the percentage ratio compares
to those related but not neutered. Age of onset of disease and so the
comparison goes on.
