Dear members, Our 6.5 month berner pup was recently spayed. The procedure went well as did her recovery, we think. She has no post-operative problems like infection or loss of energy however she has experienced brief periods of stomach problems like throwing up and her bouts with diarrhea is concerning. These problems pale in comparison with other berner owners that have lost trusted pets but it is concerning to us. We will take her to the vet if the problem persists. We have already been told by the vet a week after the surgery the incision is healing well. Right now our pup has all of her adult teeth. She is not chewing everything in sight and on the ground like she did when she had her nursing teeth. We have discontinued giving her 'Puperoni' treats. I do not know if these treats or others could cause severe bouts of diarrhea but we are trying to leave no stone (or leave) unturned. Thanks, Terry Bering
