Once the GUI functionality is sorted out to the satisfaction of the majority here take it to one qualified/experienced GUI/graphics guy/company to look at the GUI completely afresh. Then Michael, with your knowledge of the product, the best result might be achieved. This said without a great deal of understanding of how the process currently works...
