>But yes, there does appear to be a bug. The compilation albums should >not appear for artists with a TRACKARTIST role when browsing Album >Artists with the option set to "Only show tracks or albums matching the >selected role for an artist". If you're not going to list albums where >the contributor has a TRACKARTIST role, then the compilations should not >be listed. > Sounds to me like the second case is wrong; not the first?
ie. Sounds like the Album Artists list is showing all artists or album artists, and when browsing to an artist, it shows all of the albums they are involved in. Artists that are only guests on albums (eg. an obscure artist that only appears on one track of a compilation) do not appear in the list. So for example if I browse Album Artists > Brian Eno, I see a list of his normal albums, and also "28 Days Later Soundtrack" by Various Artists. If I browse into that album, it only lists the one track he appears on. I think that is correct behaviour? What is odd, is that it doesn't show non-compilation albums for an artist? The difference being if there is an album artist defined on the album? I.e. it is irrelevant if the album has the compilation indicator or not, the difference is if there is an album artist defined or not? _______________________________________________ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
