I don't see where they claim that they can go anywhere a bicycle can. They
are 4' wide, which the FAQ says means that they "can comfortably fit in
many bike lanes." One of these passing another requires 8' of path width
with zero margin, so it's evident that they won't practically go anywhere a
bike can.

I guess the big attraction of them relative to a conventional design is
that they provide protection from the weather. They claim that they don't
require a windshield wiper but the basis for that claim, which seems
suspicious to me, isn't stated.
