It seems the major purpose of this project is to double the width of the
car part of this road, despite the 15% reduction in driving over the past
five years.  Throw in bike lanes on each side just to try to mollify
bicyclists who don't see the big picture.  I support making that part of
town more bike-friendly, but doubling the width of a road is not the way to
do it.
