I contacted the sale barn today and they checked the videotape of when my
sheep were sold. They run them through in the order they are checked in. I
delivered my sheep at about 9:30 am and they were not sold when I came back
at 5:00 pm. 1800 head of sheep and goats were consigned last Saturday. I
was told that when I checked them in there were 700 already received. I do
not know the number of total sheep sold.. I was told that they were selling
Goats until my sheep came through, then goats again. I would surmise that
the sheep buyers had gone home by the time my sheep went thru. They said
that everyone was complaining of the market, but I have to do something
about it. I have too many for a hobby and the prices I received will not
begin to pay for feed. I guess I will just have to start selling them from
the farm. I really hate having to deal with the public. I just feel that
it leaves me vulnerable to a lot of other problems... Besides, I am not a
people person... I prefer the company of animals.
