Sue, I am not sure how many Barbados Blackbelly sheep there are in the US.
I know there is one breeder who is not a member of BBSAI and there might be
more. I have not had any genetic problems popping up with my herd but I can
not speak for other breeders.

Hi, I agree that Barbados Blackbelly sheep should not have horned genetics.

This was one of my passing thoughts when I saw so many breeders of polled
BB's in the United States. Only cause I thought the gene pool was so small
I thought there might be a genetic problem popping up once in awhile.
Without blood testing everyone of those BB how will you be able to tell if
there is "horned" blood running through the BB's? I wonder how many "True"
BB there really are.....would you know??? Sue
