Nevermind my previous suggestion. I just noticed this thread (http://

d84087a8daa55a60?hl=en#). Apparently it is specifically double
modifier activation that is broken, not all modifier only activation.
I use single modifier activation, which works fine in b56a7.

Until double modifier activation is fixed, consider trying single
modifier activation. I personally find it faster and more convenient
to tap ⌘ rather than ⌘⌘.
