And it appears it doesn't build it though, not because of Iptables, but because the kernel source doesn't include the conn_bytes.c source. At least that's what 1.3.5 does to check and see to build connbytes. What is the test in 1.3.6? (extensions/.connbytes-test) What kernel version are you using. 1.3.5 looks for connbytes.c in the kernel source.
