I didn't know that. Subversion has a complete record of all the changes
that have happened, no information has been lost. For example, to see
the change when I deleted glib:
svn di -c 9576 > ~/dump.diff
patch -R can then revert the changes (assuming the book hasn't changed
and the patch still applies).
