##### Information #####
I'm succeed with blfs-book-6.1.
I've installed my system almost how lfs says, besides
some
*non-important* programs, just like text editor.
##### Get native or die #####
Since i wanted to avoid possible problems during
installation i didn't
changed default locale or keyboard settings, resulting
with a complete
US english system. But i knew it, so i though to make
my changes once
system was full working.
##### Additional info. #####
My native language is Turkish, i'm using a qwerty
style Turkish Q
keyboard.
I ask people to help me on making necessary changes to
the system to
get native language support. *But* said that, i don't
neither need or
want to my system to communicate with me in Turkish,
so all programs
and other system messages can go on with English.
##### Question Mark #####
I have to get this keyboard fully functional; assume
that, this is a
*normal* keyboard with language properties said above.
##### Unicode #####
I'm aware that, LFS does not reccomend or support
Unicode support; but
since i'm more confused with every document that i
read about locales,
keymaps, lang. supports, iso, UTF etc. this is still a
valid question:
"Well system is all compiled with non Unicode support,
so already
installed programs doesn't talk to me in Unicode, but
ISO... But can't
i go on with Unicode? Again: I want a Unicode system,
but if it's not
possible for now, forget about it; but does it means
that i cannot
write my documents in Unicode neither? Can't i use a
UTF keymap?
Well i know, and apologize about my English, but i
hope you get the
idea, and somehow can answer me. I appreciate concrete
answers, but if
you want me to read a manual or any document somewhere
i accept it
too; but *please* note that i've just read a few of
them, and more i
read more i get confused; most probabily they're
usually based on
specific distribution configurations, or if they are
not, they're too
summarizing that it's impossibile to get hands dirty.
