In the same way that you (I imagine) used lspci to see what hardware was on the machine where you built LFS, and then searched for those drivers in the kernel (or perhaps started with the config from the running distro kernel) you will need to do that on the second machine. If you are doing that as a learning exercise (as I said, I can't recommend running BLFS-8.4 without a lot of package updates) then I'll wish you luck and patience : my recent experience with getting a usable kernel on my current laptop, particularly for wifi, and then in trying to slim it down to remove things I won't be using, was slow, painful, and had a lot of failures. ĸen -- To say that it (his hair) was black and bound up in a ponytail is to miss the opportunity of using the term 'elephantine'.
