This is a common problem. What you need to do is to download one of the free dictionary files provided on either the Jaws Users or Blind Computing web sites. In addition, if you load any of the Microsoft Word programs, the problem should resolve itself. That is why Microsoft has decided to offer a new e-mail program. Outlook Express Version 6 was the last one. It doesn't work well with Windows 7. There's a new program available free called Windows Live. it's a lot like Outlook Express but it has some rather odd characteristics. It is a very good alternative to Outlook Express. for one thing, it provides a lot more information about the messages you are receiving. But it acts in some way like an IMAP server. when you delete a message, it doesn't disappear until you close the program. That takes some getting used to I can tell you.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] spell checking in OE

Greeting!
I have found that In OutlookExpress the spell checking language has changed from US English to French France. I tried to change to the original language setting which is US English. However, the language cambo box is showing only French France.
How do I correct this problem and use the English language back again?
Thanks in advance!
